Our infinite, almighty God is able to give great answers to prayer!
God delights to answer prayers for big things, because He is not only infinite and almighty God, but He is the loving Father of His children.
“Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear.” Isaiah 59:1
God is able; God is willing.
God invites and commands us to ask big things.
Remember God brought his children out of the land of Egypt. He opened the Red Sea. He caused the people to cross the flooded Jordan on dry ground. He caused the walls of Jericho to fall down flat.
He is as willing now to do such mighty wonders as He was then.
He is still the same kind of God.
He can still do mighty works if people will believe Him.
Example: George Muller (England) who received over 7 million dollars without ever asking a man for money, all of it was received in answer of prayer.
“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Jer.33:3

Nothing is impossible to those who pray in faith! What an encouragement to ask for mighty things from God! The Bible is a book of marvelous answers to prayer, of a big faith, of a great God!
Think of the miracles of Elijah: Fed by ravens / widow’s meal and oil replenished / raises widow’s son / fire comes down from heaven and consumes his offering / fed by angel / calls fire down from heaven to consume captain and fifty men / divides waters of Jordan / Elijah went up by whirlwind with chariot of fire into heaven.
