In God We Trust – Day Forty

Election Day is finally here! If you haven’t yet voted, please do so today. Many of us voted early, we have fasted, and have faithfully prayed each day. So what should we do today? PRAY! Pray that Christians who have not yet voted will do so today. Pray that people will vote based on Biblical and moral issues, not just along party lines. Pray for the process to be accurate and complete. Pray for the presidential candidates and the others on the ballot. Pray for the many people who are working at the polling places. Pray for God’s hand to be all over the voting process. Regardless of today’s outcome, please remember God is in control, not any man. He has a purpose and plan in everything, and it is He that established authority. “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God” (Romans 13:1).

We need not fear if the candidate we voted for doesn’t win. Neither should we be overly confident if our candidate wins. Whatever happens today, God is still Supreme, He is still over the entire universe, and He is still living within those of us who know Him as Savior and Lord.

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever” (Hebrews 13:8).

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39).

The theme “IN GOD WE TRUST” must continue to be told throughout America! Love it, live it, and lead it for all to see! “Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savor” (Ephesians 5:1-2).
