Joey Ford

Joey was born into a Baptist pastor’s home and saw church ministry at work from early childhood.  At age 13  he felt the desire to serve the Lord in some kind of Christian vocational ministry.  Upon graduation from Tennessee Temple University with a BA in Bible and music, and Temple Theological Seminary with a MDiv in theology, he entered full-time church work.  For 23 years he served in churches in Tennessee, Ohio, and Florida as youth pastor.  Though carrying the title “youth pastor,” he served as an assistant to the pastor in counseling, senior adult ministry, music interim, and a variety of preaching and teaching roles.

Upon moving to Middle Georgia 11 years ago, Joey entered the business world in finance and retirement training with a  Macon-based financial planning firm.  During that time he continued his church service as a volunteer in the youth ministry and music ministry at Mikado.  His passion is preaching, teaching, and using his life to encourage people to love God and to Love one another.

Joey is married to Jacqueline who serves beside him as an example of a Godly wife. She disciples other women at Mikado and enjoys her involvement in the choir and TruNorth Life Group class.  Joey and Jacqueline have five grown children, and enjoy time together providing hospitality to others and occasionally traveling.
