About the Academy of Music
The Mikado Academy of Music, a ministry of Mikado Baptist Church near Macon, GA, provides a safe and comfortable place for music students to take private music lessons. Our focus is on musical excellence in a Christian atmosphere. Located between Warner Robins, Macon, and Byron, our music school is in a convenient location for everyone.
With a focus on excellence, our teachers are uniquely gifted and exceptionally qualified Christian musicians who are committed to helping their students grow musically and spiritually. Our goal is to help students use their talents and abilities to glorify God.

Structure and Fees
We offer fall and spring semesters with fifteen lessons over a seventeen week period of time to allow for student or teacher absences or make-up lessons. Each registration must include a one-time, annual fee of $25.
2022/2023 Schedule (15 lessons per semester)
Fall 2022 Semester:
- Begins the week of August 8
- Fall Break: November 21-25
- Semester ends: December 2
- Winter Recitals: December 3
Spring 2023 Semester:
- Begins the week of January 9
- Spring Break: March 27 – March 31
- Semester ends: May 5
- Spring Recitals: May 6
Academy Tuition Rates
The semester tuition will be due right before the semester begins, or it can be optionally divided into five even monthly payments due at the beginning of each month. (These amounts are subject to change yearly.)
30 minute lessons: $340 (5 monthly bills: $68)
45 minute lessons: $505 (5 monthly bills: $101)
60 minute lessons: $665 (5 monthly bills: $133)
We currently accept online payments as well as cash and checks at our church office (6751 Houston Rd., Macon, GA 3121).
